Draft. The Elido legal entity is being finalised before public launch; this page will be re-issued under that entity. Until then, contact [email protected] for an executable version.
Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-15
1. Acceptance
By creating an Elido account, calling our API, or following a short link routed through our edge, you agree to these Terms. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
2. The service
Elido provides a hosted URL shortener with branded short links, custom domains, click analytics, QR codes, and an HTTP redirect edge with tier-isolated hostnames (f.elido.me for Free, s.elido.me for Pro, b.elido.me for Business). We target 99.95% redirect uptime on paid tiers and best-effort availability on Free.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Elido to host phishing, malware, doxxing material, sanctioned-jurisdiction commerce, or content that would violate EU law in the country your visitors are in. We screen new destinations against Google Safe Browsing and our internal url-scanner service, and reserve the right to disable links that fail those checks. Repeated abuse may result in account termination without refund.
4. Pricing & cancellation
Paid plans are billed in EUR (or your selected billing currency where supported) through monobank Plata, with optional crypto checkout via Coinbase Commerce. EU VAT is added at the rate of your billing country and validated against VIES where you supply a VAT ID. Cancel any time from the dashboard - your workspace keeps the paid tier until the end of the current billing period, then automatically drops back to Free.
5. Data & privacy
We process click events (URL slug, IP-derived country, device class, browser, referrer, UTM parameters) for analytics on your behalf. We never sell or share visitor data with third-party advertisers, and we never use customer link data to train AI models. Full details are in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.
6. Liability
The service is provided "as is". Our maximum aggregate liability for any incident is the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (DNS registrars, transit networks, certificate authorities) outside our control, nor for content hosted at the destination URLs you choose to shorten.
7. Changes
Material changes - including any sub-processor addition under DPA Article 28(2) - will be announced 30 days in advance via the email on file and on the public Sub-processors page. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.
