Who Bl.ink is built for#
Bl.ink's product decisions are legible once you understand the target buyer: the enterprise marketing team inside a regulated industry, and the agency that serves them.
Large-brand marketers and agencies. Bl.ink's multi-tenant workspace model maps cleanly to an agency managing dozens of clients, or an enterprise org managing multiple sub-brands. Custom domains per brand, separate analytics per workspace, role-based access per team — the product is built around the assumption that you are managing link programs for more than one brand under one contract.
Compliance-demanding organizations. The certification stack is the most distinctive thing about Bl.ink among URL shorteners. Where Elido wins the comparison#
EU data residency by default. Bl.ink is a US-based SaaS product. Its primary data infrastructure is US-hosted. Self-host option. Bl.ink has no self-hosted deployment path. Scenario 1: when Bl.ink is the right pick#
A US-based healthcare system's marketing department runs patient education campaigns across print and digital. They use Sprinklr for enterprise social publishing. Their procurement team has a mandatory vendor certification checklist that includes HIPAA BAA and SOC 2 Type II as hard requirements. They do not have an EU data residency requirement. The marketing director has been using Bl.ink for three years and it is already on the approved vendor list.

Migration from Bl.ink#
Bl.ink's export format is CSV from the workspace dashboard. Each row contains the short URL, destination URL, domain, slug, tags, and creation date. Click history is not included in the export.
The migration path follows the same mechanics as any branded domain shortener migration. Pre-register your Bl.ink custom domain in an Elido workspace, then run the bulk import using the /v1/links/bulk endpoint — slugs are preserved verbatim, so all existing short URLs continue resolving after the DNS repoint. Lower the CNAME TTL to 60 seconds at least 24 hours before switching, then repoint to Elido's edge. Caddy on-demand TLS provisions the certificate in under 60 seconds on first request after DNS propagates.

Where the decision pivots#
Three variables determine which platform is correct for a given buyer.
The first is EU data residency. If your procurement checklist requires personal data to remain in the EEA by contract, Bl.ink's US infrastructure requires a TIA and likely custom DPA terms. Elido's Frankfurt default resolves this without negotiation. For buyers without any residency requirement, this entire dimension is irrelevant.
The second is the pricing tier relative to the certification requirement. If HIPAA is a hard requirement and the $1,500+/month enterprise band is within budget, Bl.ink is a credible answer with a complete certification stack. If the same HIPAA requirement needs to be met at a lower budget floor, Elido's HIPAA BAA at Business and Enterprise tiers is the alternative — without ISO 27001, but with self-host as a structural option for organizations that cannot use SaaS at all.
The third is the Sprinklr or Khoros dependency. If your social publishing workflow runs through either platform and you need native branded link creation inside that workflow, Bl.ink has the integration and Elido does not. That is a real operational constraint, not a marginal feature comparison.
