Outbound — Elido enriches links before Brevo sends
The flow is outbound: you generate short links in Elido (via dashboard or API) and include them in Brevo templates. Elido fetches campaign metadata from Brevo to label attribution. Clicks on those links are tracked in Elido analytics and attributed to the correct Brevo campaign.

Two steps to attributed email analytics
- 1Generate a Brevo API key
Brevo → SMTP & API → API Keys → Create new key. Enable 'transactional emails' and 'marketing' scopes. Copy the key — it is shown only once.
- 2Paste in Elido
/dashboard/conversions → Brevo → paste API key. Elido uses it to fetch campaign metadata for attribution labeling. Save.
Authentication
API key — scoped to transactional and marketing
Brevo API keys are created per-scope from SMTP & API → API Keys in your Brevo account. You generate a key with only the scopes Elido needs: transactional emails and marketing. The key is shown once on creation — copy it immediately. Elido encrypts it with your workspace KMS key before storage and never logs or displays it again. Rotate or delete it from Brevo at any time. Remove the integration from Elido's side at /dashboard/conversions → Brevo → Remove.
Frequently asked questions
Does Elido see my Brevo contacts or email content?+
Elido reads campaign metadata (campaign name, send date) to label attribution in its analytics. It does not read subscriber email addresses, contact fields, or email body content.
What Brevo API key scopes does Elido need?+
Elido needs the 'transactional emails' and 'marketing' scopes. These allow Elido to fetch campaign metadata for attribution labeling. It does not need account or billing scopes.
Can I use Elido short links in Brevo transactional emails?+
Yes. Transactional emails sent via Brevo's SMTP or API can include Elido short links. Generate the short link via the Elido dashboard or API, include it in your template, and track clicks in Elido analytics.
How do I revoke Elido's access to Brevo?+
Remove the integration at /dashboard/conversions → Brevo → Remove. The stored API key is deleted. You can also delete the API key directly from Brevo → SMTP & API → API Keys.
Does this work with Brevo's automation workflows?+
Yes. Links in Brevo automation emails are shortened the same way as regular campaigns. The short links track clicks independently of Brevo's own click tracking.
